THE KENYA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL TRUST (KIFFT)

The Kenya International Film Festival Trust was established in 2006 with the objective of organizing an annual international film festival that would host films and filmmakers from the African continent and the Diaspora. KIFFT comprise of filmmakers, media & communication practitioners, performing artists and other stakeholders in the film industry .Through a secretariat and the Festival Director, KIFFT organizes and hosts the annual Kenya International Film Festival in Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi.

THE KENYA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The inaugural KIFF was held from 2nd to 7th October 2006 in the City of Nairobi. This year, the Festival runs from 21st October 2009 – 31st October 2009. The festival is a robust event with a mix of cultural, artistic expression through film, and an intellectual discourse through workshops and seminars geared towards the development of a vibrant film industry on the African continent. It aims at showcasing the creative and artistic talent that abounds on this continent, which is crying to be seen and heard.
