The Opening ceremony will be at the Kenya National Theatre. Other venues for the Kenya International Film Festival include:
Alliance Francaise: This venue will host the opening ceremony, professional screening and workshops.
National Theatre: This venue will host the students forum, debates and seminar workshops, special screening of Kibera project, River wood and FESPACO
Goethe Institute:This venue will host Critics workshop and East African Special ( Assorted movies from Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi)
National Museums of Kenya: This venue will host student films during the day and professional screening at night. There will be a special presentation by the head of audiovisual department of the National Museums on 'The role of broadcasters'.
Italian Cultural Center: This venue will host the Maisha Lab workshop and special interest films.
